Hi! I’m Ona
I’m a community builder, turned podcast producer and content curator. I started on this journey in April 2019 because I needed to connect with others.
I was once struggling to figure out where to start, trying to find my rhythm and confused on how to attract my target audience. It can all feel so overwhelming,
I was:
✔ Tired of trying to Google and juggle it all
✔ Needed help determining the best course of action
✔ Feeling defeated by the lack of growth and unsure what’s next
So much has changed since 2019 and I’ve been able to really dig into the podcast space and I’m ready to help you take the hassle out of starting, growing, and effectively managing your podcast.
What I Do!

Build Community
I founded Blk Pod Collective in 2019 as a digital community for Black audio creatives. Our mission is to help fill the void of adequate representation for Black creatives within the podcast industry.

Curate Experiences
In 2020 I founded Blk Pod Festival to serve as the podcast conference for aspiring and current Black audio creatives. This 2 day experience provides access to actionable resources and avenues for partnerships.

Produce Podcast
In 2021 I expanded into content production and started Adode Media, a full-service multimedia content agency specializing in podcast production, photography, and branding & design.
What makes me different from others in the podcast space?
Knowledgeable
I’m grateful for what all my years of experience have taught me about the podcast industry, best practices, and the ever-changing trends. I’m happy now to share it with new and experienced podcasters looking to build and brand.
Community First
I created the communities I’ve built because when I started out it felt lonely. I wanted to make lasting connections with people who were just as passionate as I was about telling their stories and sharing their experiences.
Realistic
Nothing happens overnight. Like anything valuable, podcasting takes time to build and grow. But with every business or brand, I’ve worked with I never sell you false hope. I mean what I say and say what I mean and always follow through on my word.
Passionate
I can say that I’ve worked and served for years in this industry without ever trying to make a dime. It’s not because I couldn’t or didn’t know how; but instead because of how passionate I am about the power of using podcast to share your voice and what happens when you tell your story.
People Connector
I have a knack for bringing together the right people at the right time. But I can’t take credit for it because I believe God gave me this amazing gift and I’m committed to bringing together the leading minds in the industry.
Event Curator
Look I’m a people person, so naturally curating events to connect people, build community, and share stories and experiences will be high on my priority list. It’s more than just an event to me; but instead and avenue to build lasting partnerships.
