I just hosted my first guest on The Podcast Trapper. Are you ready to learn from somebody who boosted their income, built their TikTok to 22k+ followers and increased her Instagram by over 3k organically in just one year - all because of her podcast?

Let’s get into it!

About Today’s Guest: River the Realtor

River Bonds is publicly known as River the Realtor. She is a top-producing multi-million-dollar Real Estate Agent here in Atlanta Georgia and a Host of Real Talk Atlanta.

She is also a client here at Adode Media Studios, where I helped her strategize massive business growth using podcasting.

River is originally from Chicago and she is licensed in both Georgia and Illinois. She tailors her process to each of her clients for the best possible results. Whether you are a buyer, seller, or investor, if you are looking for an unforgettable real estate experience, reach out to her for a consultation! I highly recommend working with her.

Using a Podcast to Build Your Brand

I’ve said it before and I’ll say it again, y’all - anyone can start a podcast! You can start one in your closet, in your living room, in your bathroom. You can talk sh*t about your neighbors or tell your childhood stories. You can drink the wine and spill the tea.

And I love to see it all.

But if you want to set a real, legit Podcast Trap? The secret sauce is strategy.

On today’s episode of The Podcast Trapper, River shared a story that is sure to make you laugh - she was just going to wing it here at Adode Media Studios.

She sauntered in with confidence, thinking it would be so easy. And by her team’s third time recording their first episode, she realized - maybe there’s more to it than this! In her own words, the hosts of Real Talk Atlanta were serving less real estate content and more…XOXO, Gossip Girl.

Now, River laughs it off. “Honestly, we were just trying to cut corners. We thought, we’re going to launch a podcast. It’s not going to be that much work….and it really is a lot of work. You gotta pay to play! But the good thing is, when you pay for something like this, you see a return!”

River met with me and we discussed her idea of what success would look like for Real Talk Atlanta.

Was revenue the goal? How much? How many followers did she want to build her accounts to? What measurable goals could we set for her brand? The answers to these questions helped my team create a meaningful strategy for Real Talk Atlanta, so that they could generate actual revenue from their podcast.

Before River began using podcasting to build her brand, she didn’t think to create content. She was busy, and she couldn’t figure out what to post. It led to another funny story she told on our episode - the call-out.

River got called out in her Insta DM’s for not showing up in her own feed. A potential client was literally like, who are you? And what are you about? River set her defensiveness aside and scrolled through her Instagram grid. She saw photos of houses and the occasional educational post. It was fine, but not incredible. And it probably wasn’t serving her long-term strategic goals as a Realtor.

Deciding to show up more publicly and authentically in her business, River established herself as a thought leader in real estate by launching an ultra-professional podcast.

I am not saying this to brag, I’m serious. But my team did a beautiful job. It looks like she and her Co-Hosts take themselves seriously. They look fly in the promo photography, the colors are gorgeous, and their communication is clear and so interesting. People love this podcast. Okay, I’m done ranting and raving. I think.

My point is - if you’re someone who struggles with creating content, you should consider using podcasting as your brand strategy. Without a personal connection, “content” is just words strung together. Podcasting can help your audience get to know, like and trust you! They’ll want to do business with you in a big way.

And if you’re someone who creates content all the time, great! Let’s curate a strategy to help you make even more money.
